Bezel Setting

Bezel Setting

Diamonds are set in a bezel setting by a metal rim that encircles the sides of the stone and extends slightly above it. The rim, or collar as it is sometimes called, can stretch around the diamond's entire circumference or around only a portion of it (known as a partial bezel setting). A bezel setting securely holds the diamond in place and having a low, protective profile makes a bezel setting a good choice for people with active lifestyles. A Bezel setting also does a good job of protecting the edges of your diamond from chipping.
