The classic engagement ring is composed of two parts, the diamond and the setting. The best way is to first start with the center stone , then you can choose any setting that you know she'll love.
How Much Should I Spend ?
Since this is a very special event and a purchase that will last forever, a common starting point is two-months salary. We believe that regardless of the amount your budget, the most important considerations should be quality and value. |

Choose the 4C's of your Diamond
At Diamond Traces, it's our goal to educate all our customers to make sure they are confident in their buying decision.
Below is a summary of what you'll find in our Diamond Education Center.
Cut - The cut is the proportions of the diamond and it has the biggest affect on its brilliance (sparkle). A diamond cut with the correct proportions and angles will refract the prism of light more efficiently.
Color - The term color is the actually absence of color thats within the diamond. As the light is passing through the diamond, it breaks down and is transformed into a rainbow of color.
Clarity - The terms clarity refers to the purity of the diamond. Because diamonds are created by nature with millions of years of intense heat and pressure, imperfections or "inclusions" are often formed in the process.
Carat - The carat weight of a diamond is the unit mass of the diamond. Since larger diamonds are more rare than smaller diamonds, the diamond's value rises with carat weight. |
